About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our Platforms Services team in Auckland.

In this role you'll play a key part in ensuring the reliability, stability, and security of our software applications and platforms, working across multiple teams with exposure to a broad, modern technology stack.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and mobile platforms using our internal automation frameworks
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery
  • Ensure system quality, performance, and security through effective automated and performance testing practices
  • Write clean, maintainable automation code aligned with our coding and release standards
  • Analyse automation results and metrics to identify issues, report progress, and drive improvements
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our automation frameworks
  • Champion automation best practices within squads and our QA Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and help foster a strong engineering culture
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies to keep testing integrated throughout the delivery lifecycle

What We're Looking For

  • Seasoned hands-on experience in test automation at a senior level, across API, Web, and Performance testing
  • Strong programming skills with experience in C#, Selenium, Playwright, RestSharp, Postman, or equivalent frameworks
  • Practical experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with meaningful quality gates
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, OpenShift, Azure, and hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
  • Comfortable working in a BAU/operations environment focused on platform stability and reliability
  • Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • An interest in incorporating AI-assisted approaches into automation practices
  • Testing, Agile, or Azure certifications are desirable
