We are looking for an Insurance Manager to join our Branch Advice Centre team in Wellington. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering quality advice, and continuing to grow their career within ASB.
Te Tūranga | The role
As an Insurance Manager, you will provide personalised insurance advice to ASB customers across a range of channels. You will guide customers through our insurance advice process, recommending and implementing solutions that reflect their needs, goals, and stage of life.
You will proactively grow your portfolio by identifying new opportunities, collaborating with AIA underwriters, and working closely with colleagues across the bank to ensure customers receive joined‑up, high‑quality support.
You will be a trusted adviser to your customers, focused on building long‑term relationships and delivering service in line with ASB’s standards. You will help foster a strong referral culture, support and coach internal partners on our insurance value proposition, and communicate openly so everyone is aligned around the customer’s situation.
You will also take ownership of customer issues or complaints, working through them with care and professionalism, and always striving for good outcomes.
Ō pūkenga | About you
You will bring experience in financial planning or insurance, either in New Zealand or internationally, along with a strong track record of delivering quality advice and positive customer outcomes.
You are confident identifying customer needs, shaping tailored insurance solutions, and managing an insurance book. You build strong relationships easily and are comfortable influencing and collaborating with customers and colleagues alike.

- A Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services, Insurance Stream
