Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

We have an exciting 24-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Shared Services Manager to step in and lead a well-established shared services function, as our business steps into the S/4 HANA implementation project.

You enjoy full accountability for the performance and delivery of transactional finance services. Leading a team of 10, ensuring clear expectations and a consistent focus on service quality, controls and outcomes.

With core responsibility across the end-to-end procure to pay processes, you’ll balance operational oversight and people leadership. The environment is stable, structured, and already high performing, providing a solid platform for a capable and people-focused leader to step in, maintain momentum, delivery standard and continue to develop capability.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, influencing outcomes, managing priorities and ensuring financial processes are well understood, controlled and consistently delivered.

Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience

You are a technically capable Accountant who delivers through people leadership. You bring experience from a transactional or shared services financial environment, with a deep understanding of procure to pay processes and a clear track record of leading teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

In addition, you demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • The ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • A pragmatic, structured approach to problem solving with a strong service orientation
  • Confidence managing competing priorities, escalations, and stakeholder expectations
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining well-documented, compliant processes

You will inherit a capable, established team and have the platform to focus on leadership impact, team development, and service delivery.
