Mo te tūranga | About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist within the Manage My Money tribe, you'll be leading the charge on Data Science projects that turn business needs into actionable insights, and products. You'll be working on exciting projects that involve developing and maintaining models in areas like predictive modelling, customer segmentation, and financial wellbeing.

You'll be responsible for leading the delivery of Data Science projects, mentoring team members, and championing the use of new tools and techniques to solve business problems. Your work will have a tangible impact, and you'll be working collaboratively with the wider team to provide collective insight and value for stakeholders.

As a seasoned data science professional with a passion for innovation, here's what you bring to the table:

• Strong communication skills to make complex concepts accessible for business stakeholders - you're great at breaking down complicated ideas into simple, actionable insights.
• Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels without relying on hierarchy - you're a team player who builds strong relationships and gets things done.
• Good problem-solving skills, comfortable working in complex, challenging environments - you're a creative problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Passion for your domain of expertise and highly inquisitive - you're always looking to learn and grow, and you're passionate about staying ahead of the curve.
• Outcome orientated, persistence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer results - you're driven to deliver results and always looking for ways to improve.
• Proficiency in at least one common data science language such as Python and R, following good coding standards - you've got the coding skills to get the job done.
• Exposure to notebook environments such as Jupyter Notebook, Apache Zeppelin, RStudio, or Databricks - you're familiar with the tools of the trade and know how to use them to drive results.
• Understanding of key concepts of Statistics and Statistical and Machine Learning techniques - you're well-versed in the fundamentals of data science and know how to apply them to real-world problems.
