Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit

We have a 0.9 FTE (72 hrs per fortnight) position available for an RN to work in our Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit (CTU) at Allevia Hospital Epsom. You’ll work 12 hr shifts across a 24/7 roster. CTU is located on McAuley ward in our beautiful new state of the art Gilgit Wing and is adjacent to our 12 bed ICU/HDU. In CTU you'll care for pre and postoperative patients who are undergoing all types of cardiac and/or thoracic surgeries. Led by our awesome Charge Nurse Manager this is a busy and stimulating environment. You'll be joining a positive and supportive team where open communication and respect is highly valued.

Ngā kōrero mōu | About you

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a cardiothoracic surgical environment, within NZ or a comparable healthcare system e.g. Australia, UK, Ireland.
• Outstanding assessment and time management skills, confidence in your practice and the ability to think on your feet
