We are looking for a confident, approachable, and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership within our Specialty Clinic Service. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will lead people, strengthen clinical practice and drive service performance in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Te Mahi/About the Position
In this role, you’ll be supporting and leading a team of specialist community nurses who work both in clinics and out in the community. It’s a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same.
- Lead and support a team of specialist community nurses across clinic and community settings.
- Provide visible clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring staff to support high quality evidence-based care.
- Ensure safe, effective, and responsive care delivery across the full patient journey (triage, admission, discharge)
- Drive quality improvement, audit activity, and service innovation, embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including rostering, resource allocation, and service coordination.
- Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development, building leadership capability within the team.
- Manage clinical risk, incidents, and complaints, ensuring learning and improvement.
- Support a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and professional excellence.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider leadership team to deliver on organisational priorities.
- Uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and support equitable health outcomes in practice.

You are a confident and resilient clinical leader who can balance people, performance, and patient outcomes. You bring sound judgement, a strong values base, and the ability to lead through complexity and change. You will bring:
- Current NZ Registered Nurse APC.
- Proven experience in clinical and people leadership, including performance management.
- Strong capability in quality improvement, audit, and clinical governance.
- Experience managing operations, rostering, and service delivery in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to lead through change and manage competing priorities.
- Confidence to have courageous conversations and manage challenging situations.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of the NZ health system and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
- Clinical experience in community or a related setting.
