Foreperson

We are looking for an experienced Foreperson to lead our teams across a range of roading maintenance and roading construction projects throughout the Thames region. If you’re a strong leader with civil and roading experience who can drive safety, productivity, and quality on site, this is a great opportunity to step into a key role within our operations.

About The Role

As a Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing daily onsite activities and ensuring crews complete work safely, efficiently, and to required standards. You’ll work closely with supervisors, engineers, and project managers to deliver high‑quality outcomes on both planned and reactive roading works.

This role can be based at any of the following locations - Thames, Coromandel, or Whitianga.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and coordinating crews on roading maintenance and construction projects
• Planning daily work activities, resources, and site requirements
• Ensuring safe work practices and promoting a strong safety culture
• Delivering work to quality standards, including pavement, drainage, earthworks, sealing, and road repairs
• Liaising with project teams to report progress and manage on‑site challenges
• Supporting hands‑on operational work when required
• Ensuring environmental and company procedures are followed at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in roading maintenance and/or roading construction
• Previous leadership, foreperson, or supervisory experience
• Solid understanding of civil construction methodologies
• A proactive, safety-first mindset
• Excellent communication and team‑coordination skills
• Full driver licence (Class 2 beneficial; WTR advantageous)
