VentureFruit is looking for a Business Administrator to support our finance and operations team across New Zealand and global markets. This is a hands-on, trusted role for someone who enjoys responsibility, works confidently with data, and knows when to crack on, and when to escalate or ask questions.

You’ll be right at the centre of the business, helping keep things running smoothly while supporting commercial decisions across multiple countries and time zones.

About VentureFruit

VentureFruit is a global fruit variety management business and part of T&G Global. We work with world-class breeders, growers and marketers to identify, protect and commercialise premium fruit varieties, taking them from orchard to consumer across international markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing business, finance and operational administration support across VentureFruit in NZ and internationally
  • Tracking global commercial planting data and assisting with production forecasts and development reporting
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including vendor setup, invoice coding, debtor follow-ups, royalty and program invoicing
  • Supporting budgeting, month-end and year-end processes, including general ledger reviews
  • Maintaining accurate databases, including IP fixed asset registers (PVRs, trademarks)
  • Assisting with financial planning and forecasting across a portfolio of commercial agreements
  • Building, generating and maintaining financial reports and product models (Excel-heavy)
  • Supporting audit requirements as needed
  • Coordinating team travel, meetings, merchandise orders and general office administration
  • Working closely with the Senior Contract Administrator to ensure consistency across contracts and financial actions
  • Continuously looking for ways to streamline processes and improve how we work

What You’ll Bring

Essentials (non-negotiable)

  • Excellent Excel skills. You’re genuinely confident with formulas, models, reconciliations and working with large data sets
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and financial information
  • Sound judgement. ou know when to work independently and when to escalate or ask questions The ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities at once
  • A proactive, capable mindset. You see what needs doing and take ownership
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different time zones

Nice To Have (but Not Essential)

  • Experience in business administration, finance or accounts
  • Exposure to financial or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Xero)
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting or financial reporting
  • Understanding of commercial agreements or IP-related assets
