We are seeking an intermediate level
Process/Chemical Engineer to join our diverse and talented industrial team. Based in sunny Tauranga, this role will see you working closely with a broad range of clients across the Bay of Plenty, while also supporting projects throughout New Zealand and Australasia. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity where innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients sit at the heart of everything we do.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
- Provide technical process engineering support across a range of current and future industrial projects and industrial sectors
- Develop and design practical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges, working both independently and within multi‑disciplinary teams
- Partner closely with clients to improve process efficiency and troubleshoot operational issues
- Manage small to medium‑sized projects through various stages of delivery
- Learn from industry and technical experts across our Asia‑Pacific network to continue advancing your career and diversify your experience
- Participate in short-term site assignments on New Zealand industrial sites
Our vibrant Tauranga office is home to around 300 people across more than 10 disciplines, offering deep technical expertise and a collaborative, high‑energy culture. The team is closely connected with Beca offices across New Zealand, Australia and the Asia‑Pacific, delivering projects across the chemical, pulp & paper, mining, and food & beverage sectors.

You are a Process/Chemical Engineer with a passion for process design fundamentals and project delivery. You’re naturally curious, enjoy problem‑solving and take a practical, solutions‑focused approach to your work.
You'll Also Bring
- 5+ years’ experience developing and/or delivering industrial projects on site or within a consultancy environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive mindset and a desire to continue learning and developing your technical capability.
