Territory Sales Lead

Genesi Sim

A well-established, privately owned leader in lifting and transport solutions is seeking a relationship-driven Sales professional to take ownership of the North Island territory. This organisation has built its reputation over decades through quality equipment, long-term customer partnerships, and a strong, people-centred culture. Employees stay because they're trusted, supported, and valued for the long term.

About the Role

This is a high-autonomy, consultative sales role where you'll take full ownership of the Hiab portfolio across the north island, balancing new business development with the growth of an established customer base. You'll manage your territory end to end, working directly with customers on-site to understand their operations and deliver tailored lifting solutions that drive long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing new business opportunities and expanding market presence across the region
  • Managing and growing long-standing repeat customers and key accounts
  • Building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders - from operators to owners
  • Managing a healthy sales pipeline and delivering results against clear KPIs
  • Representing a respected brand in a professional, down-to-earth manner

About You

  • Proven success in sales or business development, ideally within technical, industrial or capital equipment environments
  • A natural relationship-builder who can get on with anyone - on site or in the boardroom
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with commercial confidence
  • A practical mindset and willingness to understand technical detail
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working with autonomy
  • Full NZ driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand

Industry-specific experience is advantageous but not essential - the ability to connect with people, build trust, and deliver outcomes is critical.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary with an uncapped commission structure
  • A balanced role: new business and repeat customers
  • High trust and autonomy - you're not micromanaged
  • A supportive, close-knit team culture that genuinely feels like one big family
  • Strong internal backing and long-term career progression

This is a confidential recruitment process. If you're searching for a role where relationships matter, autonomy is real, and culture is more than a buzzword, we'd like to hear from you.
