We are seeking a support worker (permanent or casual) to join our Homecare team in Kaikoura.
Te Mahi/About the Position
As a Support Worker in Kaikoura , you will be working within the community supporting a variety of individuals to support them to live happy and meaningful lives. A day in this role will see you:
- Following a care plan, to provide support with personal care and household duties
- Completing such tasks as assistance with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support, hosiery application; housework and meal preparation supports
- Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community
- Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits
- Representing Nurse Maude in your professional presentation and approach to each client and their Whanau
Hours of work:
- We are seeking permanent part-time employees to work 40 hours per fortnight or more
- Successful permanent part-time applicants will be offered guaranteed hours and preferred work times that may include morning, evening and weekend shifts
- We are also seeking casual employees to work in a flexible way, across the above shifts
- Having availability to work at least alternate weekends is preferred

To be successful in this position, you will:
- Be professional, honest and reliable,
- Be friendly in your approach, passionate about working with people, and providing a high level of care for our clients.
- Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending, crouching, and long periods of time on your feet.
- Hold a full New Zealand driver licence and have your own reliable transport.
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
