Senior Sales Executive

Home Planet Nz Limited seeks a results-driven Senior Sales Executive to lead in-store performance and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will drive sales, mentor team members, manage end-to-end transactions, and promote tailored furniture and finance solutions. The role requires strong leadership, customer engagement, and target achievement in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal candidates bring New Zealand managerial experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in converting leads and maximising revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive in-store sales and consistently achieve revenue targets
- Lead and support sales team members to improve performance and customer experience
- Engage with customers to understand needs and recommend suitable furniture solutions
- Promote and assist customers with finance options (e.g., instalment plans)
- Manage end-to-end sales process, including quotations, invoicing, and follow-ups
- Maintain showroom presentation and ensure stock availability
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales service professionally
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely deliveries
- Monitor sales performance and contribute to store-level strategy
Requirements
- Minimum Level 5 qualification or higher in Business, Sales, or a related field
- At least 2 years of New Zealand managerial experience.
- Strong background in customer engagement, lead conversion, and upselling
- Experience working with POS systems and CRM tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in financing/EMI solutions or high-value product sales is highly preferred
