Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity
As a Processor in the Home Ownership Products team, you will be accountable for managing a customer portfolio, sustaining solid partnerships with customers, bankers and legal representatives. You will provide advice around lending assessment and customer creditworthiness, leading to successful property transactions and Home Ownership outcomes.
You will be responsible for the application, credit assessment and reporting on the variety of K inga Ora products on behalf of the government, whilst partnering with the rest of the business.
This role is required to work minimum of 3 full days per week in our Counties/Manukau office. Core business hours are from 9am to 3pm, work days may start as early as 7am and end as late as 6pm to accommodate the full eight-hour schedule.

Here's what you will bring to the role:
- Undertake the eligibility and qualification related processes to ensure timely processing of applications. A key to this is ensuring accuracy of data, a positive experience for applicants, whilst also ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria, policy and relevant legislations obligations (e.g. Privacy Act, CCCFA KiwiSaver Act).
- Remain current with policy and process requirements. Share this knowledge with other staff to grow capability. Being a SME as necessary for new and improved business implementation.
- Follow up needs and experience of customers including triaging, responding to feedback and complaints in an effective and sensitive manner, maintaining effective customer/stakeholder relationships, escalating issues when required, and consulting with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain constructive working relationships with work colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to enhance understanding and the cooperation needed to achieve desired team and organisational results.
- Work collaboratively with the other members of the team to ensure consistency and quality of services provided in a timely manner.
- Support other teams within K inga Ora which may include working across teams on occasions to support fluctuation in work volumes
- Ensuring targets are met by prioritising the workload in the most effective manner
- Work with the Team Leader on identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies through reviewing existing processes
