Insulation Installer

ACE ENERGY SOLUTIONS LIMITED, Auckland is looking for Insulation Installer. Full time role 30-40 hours per week.

An Insulation Installer you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate installation of insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings. This role involves preparing work areas, handling materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards to improve energy efficiency and thermal performance of structures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Measure, cut, and install insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, foam, polyester, or reflective foil) into walls, ceilings, floors, and other surfaces as per building specifications and plans.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, removing old insulation (if applicable), and sealing gaps or cracks to ensure effective thermal coverage.
• Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and job specifications to determine insulation requirements.
• Load and unload insulation materials and equipment safely at job sites.
• Operate hand and power tools such as staple guns, saws, and insulation blowers, adhering to proper handling and maintenance procedures.
• Follow health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper ventilation when handling insulation materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment on site.
• Work collaboratively with team members, builders, and site supervisors to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure insulation is installed according to code and company standards.
• Dispose of waste material in accordance with environmental and workplace policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
• Basic knowledge of construction or insulation installation techniques
• Ability to use hand tools and safety equipment effectively
• Good attention to detail and workmanship
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in insulation or construction work is advantageous
• Must have Valid full driver’s licence
