The role/Te mahi
We are seeking a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administrator in the School of Biomedical Sciences. This role is essential in delivering high-quality operational support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Key responsibilities include providing general administrative and operational assistance, committee support, departmental communications, as well as supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities.
The Administrator function includes Kaiwhakahaere Tari roles, which play a key part in supporting the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework and advancing the University’s commitment to the success of Māori students and staff. You will be a self-starter with proven experience as a high-performing Administrator, dedicated to supporting students, staff, and customers. Your exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload will be key to your success. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow, learn new skills, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment. Other key skills include:
- Previous experience in a busy and/or complex administrative environment

Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality, operational management, and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaungatanga, (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.

Thisis a permanent part-time (25 hours) position based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role at Level 4 is $63,508 to $68,185. Top of Range $73,640.
The Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions are at Level 5, with the appointment range $69,931 to $74,609.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for these positions.
