The role

We’re looking for a driven Sales Manager to lead our phone based Consumer Sales team, focused on the creating the best customer experience for customers Joining One NZ. Based in our Support Office, you’ll manage and support a team of Customer Champions to deliver strong sales performance and great customer experiences.

You’ll be responsible for implementing sales plans, developing team capability, and identifying opportunities for growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving results through people

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team managing inbound and outbound customer interactions across the join/leave queues.
• Drive team capability and performance by fostering a business-owner mindset, setting clear goals, and supporting professional growth.
• Analyse and optimise sales funnel metrics, including conversion rates, ARPU, churn, and productivity to improve outcomes.
• Manage forecasting, performance reporting, and pipeline tracking, ensuring accurate insights and alignment to business targets
• Collaborate across teams to deliver successful product launches, sales campaigns, and embed tools and strategies that drive results.
• Own the team’s financial and customer performance, building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer obsession.

• A commercial and data-focused mindset with excellent reporting and analytical skills to guide decision-making.
• Proven ability in coaching, performance management, and strategic planning to develop talent and achieve business goals.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for growth.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and persuasion skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with sales enablement tools, digital systems, and multi-channel sales platforms.
• The ability to deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic teams operating across multiple sales channels.
