About the role
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant/Office Assistant to join our Underwriting Support team in Auckland. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities, providing critical administrative support across underwriting processes while also assisting with general office tasks. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy wearing multiple hats, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team.
This role will see responsibility for:
- Triage/Filing/Workflow organisation of the DUAL Shared Mailbox
- Processing outstanding SME business to ensure all business is up to date
- Assisting with back dated filing to internal systems to ensure that all files are up to date
- Issuing timely and accurate policy documentation and liaising with Brokers if closings are incorrect
- Ensuring Mid-term adjustments, Endorsements, Renewals and New Business closings from the broker match terms given by the Underwriter prior to processing
- Clearing Pending Cash report in timely manner and report to Manager on outstanding items
- Receiving all reception calls, fulfilling any requests and redirecting calls where necessary
- Office Mail-directing any mail to the correct place/person
- Accommodating all external visitors (greeting, providing refreshments etc.) and setting up meeting rooms as needed
- Arranging Couriers where necessary
About you
As a strong communicator with a passion for customer service you will be confident in providing quality service to DUAL's clients in a timely manner. With a background in insurance or administration you will also demonstrate a strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
