Join our innovative team as a full-time Marketing and Demand Support Coordinator (37.5 hrs p/w) based in Nelson. This exciting role offers the chance to unleash your creativity through content creation, front-end website content management, social media, and event coordination to help attract new ākonga to NMIT.

As a valued member of the marketing team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals who will support your growth in marketing and communications. You'll have opportunities to develop your skills and make a real impact.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Assisting with marketing campaigns for student recruitment and branding
  • Managing and updating front-end website content
  • Supporting social media presence and engagement
  • Coordinating the gear needed for promotional events
  • Creating engaging marketing materials and content
  • Liaising with suppliers, designers, and printers
  • Supporting the tracking and reporting of marketing campaigns

About you / He kōrero mōu

To be successful in this role you will need: (Candidates want to know what will get them this job.)

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar, with 2+ years' experience in a marketing or communications role
    Or equivalent combination of education and experience as outlined in the position description

And be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in content creation and marketing support
  • Skills in front-end website content management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic photography, video capture, and editing
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and ideally the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across diverse teams

Desirable:

  • Experience in a tertiary education environment and relevant systems.
  • Relevant tertiary certificate(s) or diploma as it relates to the work area.
  • Experience in managing engaging marketing automation campaigns.
