He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

As our Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth and supporting the retention of key contracts across Compass Group NZ. You'll lead the sales funnel process, collaborate with operational leaders, and bring innovative service solutions to life. This is a high-impact role where your strategic thinking and relationship-building skills will shape the future of our business.

Ko o Kawenga/ Your Responsibilities

  • Manage new sales and business development activities to meet growth targets.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to retain key sector contracts and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Drive the strategic sales funnel process and CRM execution to ensure consistent representation.
  • Provide commercial leadership in bidding, negotiations, and financial modelling.
  • Represent Compass Group at industry events, building networks and brand presence.

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles, ideally in FMCG, hospitality or services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop compelling, value-driven proposals.
  • Confident communicator with excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining high-level "C-suite" relationships.
  • Holds a BCom or equivalent qualification (MBA preferred), with a passion for innovation and excellence.
