What you’ll do | Hei mahi

As Senior Brand & Marketing Lead for FreshChoice, you will drive the implementation of the FreshChoice marketing and brand strategy, ensuring alignment with Fresh Choice Business Strategy overall and driving initiatives that grow customer and brand engagement and increase sales.

You will report to the and be HO Brand & Marketing W-NZ and act as a pivotal leader acting as a conduit between the FreshChoice, Woolworths NZ brand & marketing teams and Fresh Choice Franchisees, ensuring that overall operating processes are in place to deliver to customer needs.

This role is paramount to ensuring brand and marketing initiatives are well managed at an operational level, are current and aligned to overall business strategy.

Key Priorities Include

  • Lead the delivery of the Fresh Choice (WDL) brand & marketing strategy, ensuring marketing activities align with strategic pillars and growth ambitions
  • Deliver effective marketing programmes aligned to FreshChoice (WDL) financial business objectives
  • Oversee the execution of marketing plans and campaigns, including measurement and review of campaign ROI
  • Strategically partner and collaborate with FreshChoice Franchise leaders and teams to champion and deliver on brand and marketing strategies ensuring buy-in and alignment across the network
  • Lead and develop the FreshChoice marketing team, fostering a skilled, high performing culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to manage marketing financial activity to deliver on financial targets including but not limited to, budgets, expenditure, reporting, and ensure that all expenditures are effective use of the marketing budget.

What you’ll bring | Hei koha

  • Proven experience in senior Retail brand and marketing roles (min 6-8 years)
  • Proven success in delivering Brand & Marketing programmes and campaigns in a commercial multi-faceted environment
  • Experience managing relationships with creative & media agencies
  • 5 + years working in a Franchise network (preferred not mandatory)
  • Marketing/ Communications Degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Brand or Communications
