About The Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll coordinate shift activities including product handling, grading, cleaning, and export preparation. You'll ensure compliance with MPI and food safety regulations, maintain operational efficiency, and foster a high-performing team culture aligned with Ngāi Tahu values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily plant operations and team performance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and saltwater system monitoring
  • Lead and support kaimahi training and development
  • Promote a safe, culturally confident, and collaborative work environment

About You

  • Proven supervisory experience in a processing plant
  • Unit standards in food safety, fisheries compliance, and saltwater systems
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and collaboration skills
  • A commitment to Ngāi Tahu values and eagerness to learn Māori tikanga
