About the opportunity
Reporting to the GM, Regional Leadership, you will play a critical role in leading a team of dedicated Connectivity Coordinators, activating Sport Waikato’s strategic plan and implementing initiatives across the region. You will;
- Provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring a planned, coordinated and systematic delivery of key outcomes across the stakeholder group.
- Motivate, inspire and uplift capability within the team, creating a positive, high performing culture of inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Drive strategic projects and initiatives, actively engaging and collaborating with others to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
- Regularly monitor, review and ensure activity plans remain current and effective, identifying risks and elevating concerns.
- Develop and nurture relationships across regional councils, government agencies, iwi and hapu, community groups, schools and sports clubs, creating a shared vision for success.
- Hold the Hamilton City Council Regional Connectivity Coordinator portfolio as a strategically important player in the region.
Skills and experience
