In this BTune HVAC Energy Efficiency Engineer role you will:

  • Assist in the delivery of BTune projects from client sign-up through identifying and deploying energy efficient HVAC control optimisations to continuously monitoring and verifying energy cost and carbon emission savings.
  • Drive BTune projects forward with effective project management and communication skills

Role

Play a rewarding part in supporting sustainable energy usage and decarbonisation across the building sector in this delivery role. Support the delivery of BTune projects, all with the aim of reducing operating cost and carbon. In this role, you will become an expert user of the BTune software, including:

  • semantic modelling
  • analytics
  • identification of HVAC control energy saving opportunities
  • measurement and verification
  • deployment of HVAC control optimisation strategies

You will play a key part in delivering the BTune solution, across APAC and North American markets with ambition for further global growth.

You will be looking to make a difference with your delivery skills and capability, as BTune continues to grow. You will be comfortable with using your initiative and suggesting refinements to improve the BTune offering. You will unpick lessons from deployment, delight clients, and understand commercial outcomes. You will be passionate about sustainability, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in energy optimisation and emission reduction in the built environment. You will have the practical knowledge to understand ‘As-is’ design of installed HVAC and control systems. You will be experienced in HVAC control systems, hierarchy, topology, configuration of systems, BACnet and best practice energy efficient controls.

You will have building services knowledge across Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC control, HVAC design, modification, and energy calculations to demonstrate energy savings. You will have experience working with BMS to identify HVAC energy saving opportunities and the estimation of subsequent savings. Experience with some form of analytic software such as Coppertree or Skyspark would be beneficial. Most importantly, you will be able to take a brief for a task and have the autonomy to advance projects to enable fast and accurate optimisation of HVAC performance in client buildings.

Other Key Components Of The Role Include

  • Collaborative delivery of the BTune deployment tasks, including semantic modelling, energy efficiency analysis and optimisation strategy rollout into buildings.
  • Working to achieve team goals through personal effort with regular attendance and effective contribution to team / project meetings.
  • Communicating positively and clearly to ensure that team members, managers and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines.
  • Consolidating and extending technical skills; showing initiative in seeking learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrate effective written communication and presentation skills.
