As a member of ASB's Financial Crime Operations team you will help protect ASB and it's customers from the impact of Financial Crime. You will contribute in a meaningful way to the protection of Aotearoa New Zealand from organised crime, modern slavery, extreme right-wing groups, and other activity which places New Zealand at risk. 

Mo te tūranga | About the Role:

As an Analyst in our Flexible Workforce team, you'll play a key role in supporting operational teams to meet regulatory requirements and manage financial crime risk. Your work will vary depending on the need of the business and include ensuring compliance with AML/CFT, Sanctions, and CRS obligations through thorough assessment, investigation, and customer data verification. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Preventing and managing financial crime risk. 
  • Ensuring compliance with AML/CFT, Sanctions, FATCA, and CRS policies. 
  • Delivering and supporting system enhancement initiatives. 
  • Ensuring service development aligns with business needs. 
  • Promoting staff capability uplift and customer satisfaction. 
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Staying up to date with company policies, standards, and legislative requirements. 
  • Providing coaching and support to new and existing analysts.

  • A good knowledge of New Zealand Financial Crime obligations (AML/CFT, Sanctions, or FATCA/CRS) and the associated processes to comply with these. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy. 
  • Analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills. 
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities. 
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to a positive team environment. 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • The ability to understand and communicate business processes and needs effectively.
