In this fixed term contract, you will report to our Sales Support Manager. You will lead a team of over 10 staff including through one of our busiest periods - Back to School. Where we sell education supplies to schools and caregivers for the following school year.

We understand that this is a fixed term role, but our people's development is a priority, so we are looking for an experienced leader who knows how to coach to support the team and to get the best results from people. You will be passionate about supporting the development of our people, while bringing a fresh optimisation lens to your work and our processes.

As the engine room behind our sales environment, the aim of this multifaceted department is to provide administration and customer support to both your internal stakeholders (our sales teams) and our external business customers. Streamlining processes while ensuring that accuracy is never compromised - this role suits a customer focused, analytical solution finder - who understands how to lead and motivate people in order to create change!

Key Responsibilities Are

  • Operational Excellence
  • Deliver results by matching Sales Support team resources and priorities to Sales strategy
  • Drive accurate, timely measurement of results and Sales Support team member performance
  • Ensure the provision of best practice reporting and insights through collaboration with Data, Analytics & Integrations team and Commercial Business Partners
  • Monitor and allocate workflows and accountabilities across the Sales Support
  • Optimise effectiveness and efficiency in Sales Support processes by driving improvements
  • Ensure the availability of relevant resources, technology and knowledge so that teams-members can provide accurate, timely, specialist support to OfficeMax customers and Sales teams
  • Leading the Sales Support teams
  • Execute recruitment, onboarding, performance management and other key People and Culture processes to a high standard, to ensure continuity and quality of engagement, skills and capability in the Sales Support team
  • Develop and coach the performance and behaviours of Sales Support teams-members to optimise individual and team success
  • Manage staff resourcing requirements including Leave, absences, and statutory requirements to ensure continuity and adequate resourcing
  • Drive quality interactions between customers and salespeople through feedback and quality management processes
