Horticulture Technician

Dhami Horticulture Limited is seeking an experienced Horticulture Technician to run the operation smoothly and effectively.

Arrange testing and plan fertiliser program in consultation with the director of the business.

To assist the development of new planting, fertilising and harvesting methods to optimise land usage for production targets. Compliance with health and safety procedures.

Technical:

• To understand pest and disease monitoring to identify harmful pests and assist in the development of control methods.

2. To ensure all staff adhere to Canker and hygiene protocols throughout seasonal activities.

3. To examine young plants and plant materials before planting/ grafting, which may jeopardise vine health.

4. Pest disease monitoring.

5. Selection and collection of grafting wood.

6. Help the manager/ director to make decisions on thinning, planting, pruning and tree training.

7. Data collection, collaboration and analysis.

8. Record of timesheet if looking after a team.
