About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance

The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a TMP Designer and Coordinator to join our team and support the delivery of road closures across the Auckland motorway network. You will deliver Computer Aided Design (CAD) plans using Rapid Plan and any other suitable software required.

You will produce Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) which include TMDs (Traffic Management Diagrams) and suitably supporting documents (TMP Proforma's) as well as attaining approval from corresponding road controlling authority. The role will also support the TTM planning manager to prepare and deliver supportive documentations as required to satisfy approval conditions.

What you will be doing

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Preparing and developing traffic management plans (TMPs) to ensure safety.
  • Ensuring TMPs outline the worksite and TTM measures for road users.
  • Working with delivery teams to support TMP development and operations.
  • Submitting TMP applications for approval through web-based RCA systems.
  • Prioritising upcoming tasks according to the business delivery programme.
  • Providing administrative support for electronic file system operations.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Experience in CAD drafting (Rapid Plan, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills with high level of English written and spoken language
  • Proven time management ability
  • Competent with intermediate computer skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word
  • A full class 1 Driver's License is preferred

The below will also be advantageous:

  • Qualified STMS 2/3 Non-Practising or appropriate new CoPTTM qualification
  • Holds a TTMP Warrant
  • Experience with roading, on-site engineering or construction field
  • Working knowledge of Waka Kotahi CoPTTM
  • Experienced working with clients and preparing scope of work
