The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurants. About the Role

  • Position Title: Restaurant Manager
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Location: Dunedin, New Zealand
  • Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Working Days & Hours: Rostered shifts over 7 days between 6AM – 4AM
  • Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on skills and experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and customer satisfaction are consistently met
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, performance, and rostering
  • Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and liaise with suppliers
  • Monitor and manage budgets, wage costs, and financial performance
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service and increase revenue
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional activities as needed
  • Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and operational issues
  • Assist with administrative duties, including banking, payroll, and invoicing
  • Perform other related duties as required

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in business management or the hospitality industry; OR
  • A diploma in a relevant field OR,
  • A bachelor’s degree in any field, demonstrating key skills such as problem-solving, communication, time management, leadership, teamwork, learning agility, adaptability, professionalism, and accountability.
  • A solid understanding of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards
  • Strong commitment to the role, with the flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Experience with Thai cuisine or in an Asian dining environment is an advantage

Eligibility
