About The Job
We’re looking for a compassionate and confident individual to join our volunteer team in a role that supports both our patients and dedicated volunteers.
This position will work closely with our Volunteer Manager to provide and coordinate volunteer services to all areas of the Hospice, including volunteer database management, recruitment, training and supervision.
The key tasks of the position include database management, assisting with the recruitment, supervision and training of volunteer’s, coordination of rosters, compilation and entry of monthly statistics, supporting with hosting events which will include public speaking.
The hours will be worked between Monday and Friday with flexibility around start and finish times, to support our 24/7 service
Skills and Experiences:
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and confident individual to join our volunteer team in a role that supports both our patients and dedicated volunteers.
This role would ideally suit someone with HR or people management experience, as it involves supporting and coordinating volunteers, many of whom are mature adults. You’ll need to be comfortable building relationships, communicating clearly, and providing support in a sensitive and professional manner.
Confidence in public speaking is an advantage - or a willingness to grow in this area - as the role may involve occasional presentations or group facilitation.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can engage with empathy and respect, and who has the confidence to interact with patients and their families when needed.
