About The Role
The Theatre Service Assistant (TSA) is responsible for providing support to the Theatre Suite team and ensuring optimum cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of the theatre area, in accordance with applicable standards.
This role is responsible for handling sensitive material such as blood and human tissue and transporting/mobilising patients in theatre, so a level of comfort with exposure to this, is essential.
This is a permanent role offered at 0.5 FTE or 20 hours per week role to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Friday.

Specific duties include
- Ensure Theatre changeover and end of day cleaning is completed to the required standard
- Maintain supplies to ensure the efficient running of the theatre unit
- Ensure items for procedures are collected for the following day’s lists
- Ensure general tidiness of the area during the working day
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not necessary
- Previous cleaning experience is essential
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Enthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitude
