Business Applications Technical Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Applications Technical Lead to join a highly respected organisation in Auckland. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on supporting and enhancing business systems, with a particular focus on SaaS applications and related technology platforms. You will play a pivotal part in leading a team of specialists, guiding them through the full lifecycle of product delivery, from initial costing and planning to solution design and implementation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the delivery of new and enhanced business systems, from planning and costing through to design and implementation.
• Prioritise and manage workflow pipelines based on stakeholder needs and organisational goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, guiding them on relevant technology trends and solutions.
• Build strong vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring service quality and performance are maintained.
• Drive innovation by leading Proof of Concepts using agile methodologies.
• Provide technology recommendations that improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Mentor Business Systems Specialists in product design, service delivery, and contract management.
• Support RFP processes and negotiate ICT service contracts, including licensing and deployment.
• Work closely with ICT teams to ensure integrated and effective solutions.
• Regularly review and update systems to ensure they are secure, supported, and aligned with best practices.
