Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving continuous improvement in health and safety? We're looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to lead and support our H&S systems, training, and compliance efforts during an 8-month fixed-term contract.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Be the go-to person for all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring consistent application across the site.
· Support employee participation in planning and improving Health & Safety systems.
· Educate and guide managers on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
· Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to reduce future risks.
· Maintain accurate records of hazards, near misses, injuries, and proactive actions.
· Keep Health & Safety systems updated with real-time data .
· Stay current with NZ Health & Safety legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
What You'll Bring:
· Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or equivalent experience
· Strong knowledge of NZ H&S legislation
· Excellent communication and training skills
· Organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
· First Aid
· Hazard and Risk Management
· Incident and Event Investigation
· Experience in manufacturing (preferred)
About the Role:
· Monday to Friday, full-time hours
· This is an 8-month fixed term role - possibility to extend.
· Shift options: 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm
· Fully covered medical insurance for you and your immediate family (after 3 months)
