The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge Centre exists to provide safe, integrated, high quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centered, caring, transformative and responsive.
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker or addictions case worker/counsellor for our residential programme based in Auckland.
Key Responsibilities
The starting salary for this role will fall between $68.000 and $102,000 per annum. Social Worker Pay Equity agreement covers this role, and the final remuneration will depend on the number of years of experience the preferred candidate brings to the role.

Key Responsibilities
- Provision of casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health.
- Group facilitation
- Working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.
- Implementation of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures
- Degree in Social Work or Addiction counselling
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good cross-cultural understanding.
- Full registration with a professional body such as Dapaanz or the Social Worker Registration Board
- Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality
