About the role
As Account Director, you will begin to hone your skills as a strategic thought leader and commercially grounded client leader. You will have proven history of management of the entire communications process from taking a brief, through to creation of presentations and post campaign reports as well as client financial accountability
As a part of your day-to-day client responsibilities, you are expected to deliver highly innovative and effective communication solutions across channels employing the Hearts & Science planning process. Delivering award winning work that both Hearts & Science and the client are proud of will form a part of your individual KPIs. Outside of responding to briefs, you will successfully build category knowledge and strong senior client relationships, that will allow you to proactively respond to opportunities to grow both the clients and Hearts & Science commercial success
The Account Director leads Tier 2 and 3 clients on a day to day basis. Within these clients, you will seen as a key leader being able to lead and navigate conversations and situations on your own or with the back-up of the Group Business Director
As a senior member for the team, you will be expected to support and mentor your direct team as well as others within the wider agency
Overall delivery of both client and agency financial KPIs will also make up a core part of your role
Skills & Experience
- 5-6+ years of media planning and buying experience
- Good understanding of media fundamentals and strategic planning capabilities
- Exceptional client-facing communication & presentation skills
- Strong people leadership experience and team-first mentality
- Strong negotiation & consulting skills
- Fully conversant in the role of each channel and ability to provide justification / rationale.
- Good understanding of data and technology as it related to advertising and marketing and especially audiences and how to target these audiences online to drive ROI
- Knowledge and understanding of client business/current issues and marketplace trends/emerging trends
- Tertiary qualified is preferred, but not essential
