He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We're looking for a talented and motivated Chef to join our team at the Strata Lounge in Auckland International Airport. You'll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals that meet the expectations of our premium clientele, while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. This is a Casual position. *Hours of work are on "as and when" required basis, dependent upon business needs.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals to a high standard, including portioning and plating.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety, including cleaning and waste management.
• Receive, store, and rotate kitchen supplies to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Develop menus that cater to diverse dietary and cultural needs.
• Support and coach kitchen staff, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.
  
  

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery (or equivalent) and experience in a similar role.
• Able to work under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
• A team player who can also work independently with a flexible approach.
• Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
