The Total Rewards & Insights team, within the People & Capability (P&C) Unit, is newly formed. It's an exciting time, as we're embarking on a journey of developing and implementing a new HRIS platform and other data analytics tools. Our goal is to better provide the organisation with thoughtful insights, provided on modern and accessible platforms, enabling better data informed decision making through people analytics.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

As a HR Data Insights Analyst, you'll be working closely with the P&C Unit, and the wider organisation, to:

  • Provide human resource-related data insights and reports that enable better people management decision-making and planning across Council.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement through the implementation of Power BI, automation, AI or streamlining.
  • Develop and maintain fit for purpose processes and procedures, forms/templates and software solutions to improve efficiency of workflow.
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the Total Reward & Insights team workplan.

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

  • 3 - 4 year's practical experience in business intelligence reporting and/or HRIS systems and process improvement
  • Relevant bachelor's degree (i.e., HR, data science, business intelligence, information systems) or relevant and equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated statistical knowledge and application to business information including provision of high-quality outputs.
  • Ideally, you'll also be familiar with business information systems and tools such as SAP (Fiori/Hana), Power BI, VBA, AFO, Promapp and Visio, as well as automation tools such as Python and R.

Hours of work - 40 hours per week
Position - Full-time, Permanent
Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street, 8013.
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $88,003 to $97,781 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
