About the job
Our IT Support is a key part of the IT team and helps us position TPG as an efficient, effective, and reputable consultancy. By providing sound support and advice, the IT team ensures the smooth running of the entire TPG IT operation. We remove frustrations from the wider team, enabling them to work efficiently and focus on the great work they do. Reporting to the IT Manager, based in Napier, this permanent, full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who is curious, seeks to deepen their understanding of IT systems, and is driven to develop their IT skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing first-line support for all TPG employees across a range of systems
- Assisting with the implementation of vital projects, including Intune, cybersecurity and application project work
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and providing technical support
- Assisting with the management of IT systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure
- Collaborating with the IT Manager and other team members to deepen your understanding of IT systems and develop your IT skills
- Maintaining documentation of IT processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Providing training and support to employees on IT-related topics and best practices.
With time and experience, you may have the opportunity to grow into a system administrator role and assume greater responsibility on projects. Your development will be well supported, with generous access to training opportunities.
About you
We are seeking an IT Support professional with at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. A degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred. You will be familiar with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical support, and managing IT systems. TPG operates in a Windows-based (PC) environment.
