We're on the hunt for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Aged Care team in Auckland.

About the role

Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.

This role is part time with around 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm.

What you’ll do

  • Mobility and Transfer Assessments: Carrying out assessments for new residents in both Hospital-Level Care and Rest Home units.
  • Collaboration with the Physiotherapy Assistant: Work closely with the Physiotherapy Assistant, offering guidance on how they can provide ongoing support and regular input to residents in line with the mobility and maintenance goals.
  • Ongoing Support for Hospital-Level Residents: Closely monitor the mobility needs of each resident admitted under Hospital-Level Care, to help maintain their functional abilities, and recommend updates to care plans when needed.
  • Manual Handling Training: Delivery of training sessions to care and auxiliary staff, as requested by the facility, to ensure safe and effective manual handling practices.

  • Proven ability to deliver client-centered rehabilitation in community
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders
  • At least 2 years’ clinical experience - manual handling experience is desirable.
