He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About this role
Working within the Strategy and Planning team, the focus of this role is to lead the research and collaboration workstreams to ensure Watercare's strategies, working with iwi/mana whenua, key stakeholders, the community and internal teams. The purpose is to enable Watercare to plan for Auckland's current and future water service's needs.
You will be involved in developing Watercare's infrastructure servicing strategies ensuring these achieve Watercare's iwi/mana whenua, customer and climate change focused objectives, and connecting the asset management framework to our servicing strategies and asset management plan.
This role will require facilitation, communication and collaboration across the business and Watercare's diverse stakeholder and community groups to ensure that our infrastructure strategies are inclusive, progressive, adaptable and industry leading.

To be successful in this role you are a true professional who has excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Your Background Will Include
- Bachelor degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience working in infrastructure.
- Management of infrastructure strategy/planning investigations or complex research programmes.
- Experience in the New Zealand regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to support business and technology change programmes.
- Extensive coaching/mentoring experience.
- Water industry experience would be advantageous although is not essential.
