About The Job
This is a part time role 0.8 FTE (32 hrs per week), in our Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU), caring for patients who are pre and post cardiac cath lab procedure. CIU is a 13 bed ward at Allevia Epsom and is housed on the same floor as our new Short Stay Surgical Unit (SSU), where you will be floated when needed, so you will also need surgical experience, or an interest to learn. Shifts are 8 hrs on a 24/7 rotating roster.
About you - to succeed in this role you'll need:
We're part of the Allevia Health group of companies and we're New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 25 theatres across 3 sites. Our surgical specialties include: Colorectal/Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, Plastics, Head & Neck, (incl free flap reconstructive surgery), ENT/ORL, Orthopaedic/Spinal, Cardiothoracic, and Vascular. Our services include an ICU and HDU.

- Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ & a current APC
- At least 3 years current experience in cardiac investigations or cardiology within a NZ healthcare environment (or similar)
- Outstanding assessment and time management skills, confidence in your practice and the ability to think on your feet
- To be available to work rostered shifts across a 24/7 service
