This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading financial institution in Auckland as a contract Project Manager, where your expertise will drive the successful delivery of a high-impact project. This role offers you the chance to work within an energising and supportive environment that values collaboration. You will be working on an exciting business integration project which covers both technical and business changes for the company.

What You'll Do

  • Manage this project to achieve strategic and commercial objectives, aligning with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with business and technology to guide cross-functional teams through the end-to-end delivery of the project.
  • Oversee project management tasks including governance structures, financial oversight, risk mitigation, issue resolution, reporting mechanisms, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies with key groups across the organisation and externally.
  • Work with Product and Business Leads to ensure priorities are set based on business value and customer needs while balancing technical considerations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the project life cycle.
  • Partner with change management teams to ensure training initiatives and customer communications are effectively adopted across impacted areas.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns when necessary.

What You Bring

  • Strong business acumen, ability to manage budgets and forecasts, benefits, feature delivery and risks.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate all aspects of the delivery status at all levels within the organisation.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability to lead end-to-end enterprise delivery to inspire, motivate a multi-disciplinary team.
  • 5+ years in the NZ financial services industry, preferably Banking.
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Project life cycle experience including: delivery planning and estimating; budgeting and forecasting; resource planning and management; quality assurance; execution, implementation and operational handover; project reporting.
  • Experience delivering change through agile continuous delivery techniques.
