- 6 months Contract position to be based in Christchurch
As the System administrator you'll deliver crucial L1 & L2 support to the region and districts, who are focused on National Incident Management. Your work will involve direct collaboration with clinical staff, and you'll report to the Senior System Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Administer, manage, and develop the Safety1st system, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with all relevant standards and policies.
- Generate and analyse high-quality reports (including PowerBI development potential) and configure the Dashboards to identify patient safety trends, risks, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide direct L1 & L2 support to system users, develop training materials and deliver education sessions on Safety1st functionality.
- Act as the primary contact point between the organisation and the system provider (RL Datix), collaborate with clinical staff and other system administrators, and communicate key safety markers and system updates through newsletters.
- Support the safety and improvement culture by identifying quality improvement opportunities and ensuring data supports compliance and other KPIs.
- At least 2-3 years experience as an L2/L3 System Administrator, with proven skills in application support, change requests, process mapping, and incident management.
- Strong technical competency with broad expertise in infrastructure and cloud technologies, including Azure and/or AWS.
- Proficient in PowerBI (or similar BI/reporting tools) with strong data literacy and the ability to interpret data meaningfully for insights.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with a proven ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
- Any experience working within a healthcare/clinical domain and familiarity with ResourceLink (RL) functionality is highly desirable
