Your Impact

Asahi Beverages New Zealand is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead commercial, strategic, and customer initiatives within the On-Premise channel. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for executing the On-Premise Channel Plan, developing strong partnerships with key operators, and securing future growth opportunities. You'll guide partners on best-practice business operations and metrics to ensure mutual success, while enhancing ABNZ’s reputation as a trusted and valuable On-Premise partner.

This role will look after the Lower North Island and South Island region.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure new business financial growth is maintained according to agreed target levels.
  • Negotiate commercial outcomes that will deliver for ABNZ and our customers.
  • Identify and target strategic On-Premise sites both geographically and by key hospitality precincts.
  • Build strategic regional plans articulating a 2-3 year new business pipeline & resign register.
  • Coaching and leadership in trade with regional ASM’s, BDE’s and DSM’s
  • Delivery of financial measurements including number of new accounts and new taps.
  • Support implementation of a go-to-market plan encompassing strategic sales initiatives across the On-Premise Channel and Customers
  • Ensure that the highest level of customer support is maintained and identify strategic and commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Maximise existing customer revenues, identifying new revenue streams by ensuring processes are in place to deliver on incremental commercial goals that ensures customer expectations are exceeded.

About You

  • Solid experience within Business Development (FMCG Sector Preferrable) with proven experience that incorporates working in high volume consumer markets and understanding business growth drivers.
  • Ability to represent and present ABNZ at a variety of forums.
