What Your Role And Typical Day Might Look Like.
In this role you play an active role in planning and executing media campaigns end to end. This includes supporting and mentoring a team of juniors, taking ownership of the administrative needs of the team, overseeing the execution with suppliers and monitoring media campaigns. In addition, you also play a lead role with day-to-day communication with the client teams (e.g. Marketing Managers) to align briefs and report back on progress.
This role has more of a traditional/offline scope but knowledge/experience in digital media is also valued to support holistic media planning. In essence, this role involves you to be connected to every part of the strategy, working as a part of a team and manage stakeholders around you proactively.

This includes.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the industries in client portfolio and New Zealand media marketplace staying up to date with new innovations and technologies
- Assisting the Client Lead in executing client roadmaps and the team profitability plans.
- Day to day management of campaign deliverables and timelines
- Day to day management of client WIP’s and agency partner relationships
- To support Strategy/Planning as required i.e. providing client perspective to briefed responses
- To work closely with Investment to ensure client expectations are managed and delivery of performance is clearly communicated
- Account reporting as required: reverse briefs, contact reports, WIP’s
- Keeping clients up to date with the changing face of the media landscape
- Effective problem management when required
- To work with the Agency Directors and Client Partner to identify and capture award worthy work
- Management include recruitment, performance reviews and training
- To be pro-actively involved in new business pitches as needed
- At least 3 years’ experience working within a Media Agency or similar environment
- Understanding of media planning, buying and strategy, ideally within New Zealand
- Experience with media platforms such as Pegasus, TVMap, Roy Morgan and Nielsen
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to present ideas and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Effective organisation skills and time management
- Ability to manage a small team of people and work collaboratively
- Excellent negotiation and client service skills
