Based at Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant we are seeking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This is an exciting role for candidates that wish to prove their strength in mechanical maintenance and problem solving to ensure that wastewater services are effectively managed to over one million customers.

Based at Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant we are seeking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This is an exciting role for candidates that wish to prove their strength in mechanical maintenance and problem solving to ensure that wastewater services are effectively managed to over one million customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the operational functionality of Mechanical Equipment.
- Respond to mechanical faults as they arise.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks and carry out repairs and servicing of pumps.
- Pump servicing and field mechanical maintenance are an important aspect of this role.
- Work safely in an industrial environment.
Required
You will have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team. The following skills and attributes are required:
- A qualified mechanical fitter having served a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship with National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering level 4 or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance of continuously operating plant, with experience in large continuous liquids and solids processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- A demonstrated commitment to comply with H&S standards and safe work practices.
- Pump servicing experience.
- Laser alignment experience would be advantageous
- Clean drivers licence essential, Class II drivers licence preferred. Hiab Experience is desirable.
