Our Growth team is now looking for someone like you, an experienced Bid Manager, to join us to help create value for our clients and realise new opportunities to make an impact that matters.

This is an interesting and varied role, where you will work with Lead Pursuit Partners on our most strategic pursuits, while also being a key member of our Growth team nationally. You will have specific focus on assisting bid teams to develop client centric bid strategies and deliver differentiated and compelling proposals and oral presentations. Job Description

The impact you’ll make:

Working closely with our national Clients and Pursuits Lead and our wider Partner team on a range of pursuit activities to support our market growth objectives.

Your Typical Day Will Include

  • Project managing the bid process through the entire sales lifecycle; from qualification through to submission. Engaging firm-wide resources to support the response including SMEs, design team, legal and commercials and independence teams
  • Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops to assess and improve our client relationships, understanding of their needs and competitive positioning to develop clear and differentiated value propositions
  • Work closely with the Lead Pursuit Partner and bid team to project manage the proposal response and orals presentations; managing the tasks, timelines, and team activity to ensure on-time and high-quality submissions
  • This includes playing a hands-on role for bid/RFP/RFI proposals, project management, and creating and/or supporting go to market strategies aligned with our Deloitte best practice methodologies.
  • Arrange and participate in client win/loss debriefs feedings lessons learnt and insight back to the bid team.
  • Maintain and continuously update the bid content library
  • Support programmes to upskill Partners and teams to improve sales effectiveness through facilitation of internal programs and targeted coaching

Qualifications

Your expertise:

Bring your sound commercial experience and at least 5-7 years’ of relevant work experience in a hands-on bid management, business development or B2B sales management role to see what impact you can make.

You’ll Also Have

  • Professional services or similar corporate environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working on new business proposals and managing bids across the entire lifecycle. Demonstrating the ability to apply sound rationale and advice throughout the entire account management and sales process. Experience with public sector tenders an advantage
  • A strong relationship and client focus. The ability to work with internal stakeholders (Partners) and articulate client needs from a business point of view/commercial perspective will be key to your success.
  • Project management and problem solving skills; able to build teams, incubate ideas and creating plans to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a credible and persuasive communicator with good coaching and influencing skills.
  • A critical thinker, able to ask open questions and probe meaningfully to create innovative ideas that furthers the success of our client relationships.
