The opportunity:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the long-term performance and profitability of Fulton Hogan’s Projects and Civil Construction Divisions in the Gisborne region.

Your role will combine high-level strategy with day-to-day operational oversight, ensuring your team consistently delivers to the highest safety, financial, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop strategy across civil and infrastructure divisions
• Oversee tendering, pricing, and contract performance
• Champion health, safety and environmental best practices
• Provide commercial insight and operational direction
• Support and guide divisional managers and project leaders
• Build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships
• Monitor and drive continuous improvement in financial and operational outcomes
• Work cross-functionally with other regional and national teams
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Senior leadership experience in civil construction, roading or infrastructure
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management ability
• Proven leadership skills, with a focus on safety, people, and quality outcomes
• Strong relationship management skills, internally and externally
• A working knowledge of NZTA and/or local authority processes and legislation
• A collaborative and strategic mindset, with a hands-on approach when needed
• A genuine interest in developing people and building capability within your team
