Ko Wai Mātou – About Us
Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know New World, PAK’nSAVE, Gilmours and Four Square right? That’s us!
With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life. Our people make our business what it is. That’s everyone from our owner operators, our supply chain, transport and support centre teams and everyone in store that keep the shelves full and the doors open for customers all year round.
Te Tūranga – About The Role
We have a long-term opportunity available for an experienced HRBP to partner both strategically and operationally with our Marketing and Commercial Operations Groups within our Support Centre here at Foodies.
You will be a trusted advisor to GMs & Senior Leadership Teams bringing diverse generalist expertise across the full employee experience. You'll report to the Head of HR and be part of the wider People & Capability team which includes dedicated specialists in Talent, Safety & Wellbeing, Learning and Internal Comms.
Working across everything from competency & performance uplift, workforce & succession planning, organisational design, change and culture initiatives, reward & recognition & ER – you will have full contribution to and ownership of delivery, not just plans on a page.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will be hands-on with a pragmatic approach – knowing how to read a room, speak the language of the business and you will move fast without compromising quality of your delivery.
Experienced in building credibility with your stakeholders, you will find it natural to question the status quo, influence and push back when necessary.
You’ll enjoy working in the detail but also thrive on the opportunity to think ‘bigger picture’, driving meaningful change that can truly make a difference.
Already operating at a senior level and with previous experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation, you will be commercially astute - understanding what makes a business tick and how people strategy drives results!
Ngā Painga - What We Offer
We’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits
We’re proud to have a focus on Diversity & Inclusion here at Foodies and welcome courageous behaviour, encourage togetherness, inspire our people to be their best selves in our Foodies whānau.
We encourage you to apply with all your awesomeness and welcome your diverse background, including any disability, additional health and mental health needs, and/or neurodiversity.
