This role plays a crucial part in supporting the firm's risk management and quality activities. We are seeking someone who has a knack for enabling people to effectively navigate business risk challenges, with a commercially strong mindset that ‘challenges the norm’ whilst aligning with PwC NZ values and obligations. A component of this role has a focus on business continuity, but you’ll also be involved in risk and quality activities for which the wider team is responsible for delivering.
Drive meaningful transformation by embedding cutting-edge technology and strategic foresight into the firm’s core operations to enhance performance and future readiness.
- Ensure compliance with network, local, and international obligations by supporting monitoring and review activities that demonstrate PwC NZ’s adherence to standards.
- Contributing to training and awareness programs and embedding best practice across the business.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing risk management and independence policies while staying updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on risk and quality matters, promoting a culture of risk awareness and compliance through effective communication with stakeholders.
- Leverage AI technologies to enhance risk management processes, challenge and improve current practices with AI solutions, and support technology transformation projects.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in enterprise risk management and/or business continuity in professional services or a related industry.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in risk management.
- Strong understanding of risk management and quality programmes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to constructively challenge and improve existing processes.
- A self-starter with strong leadership and advisory skills to guide teams in adopting AI solutions and embedding new business practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
