Conference and Events are a leading PCO (professional conference organiser) company based in Wellington, working nationally on domestic and international conferences and business events.

An opportunity exists for a special person to join our team in an entry level position.

We will provide full training and a career path for the right person. Working alongside our highly skilled team of organisers and managers, you will be learning on the job and supported by online learning.

The successful applicant will have a strong interest in diving into and learning our event management software and other digital platforms and tools. They will have natural enthusiasm and empathy and will be a proactive and supportive member of a team that delivers high quality, successful events.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a positive outlook on life with a natural talent for problem solving and a determination to ‘make things happen’ are attributes that we are looking for.

Essential Job Requirements: Applicants should be a NZ citizen or have a New Zealand resident visa.

EDUCATION

Tertiary qualification preferred but not necessary.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and pre-empt them or problem solve when problems arise.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Experience using EventsAir event management software and Microsoft 365 tools an advantage but not required.
  • Aptitude for computer and web-based systems and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
